Rolex fans remember the Rolex Cat advertising campaign was introduced in 1959, Rolex's advertising agency called the Cat advertisements the "first actual campaign addressed to women". Appearing in 1963 was the enclosed five-page advertisement / bulletin (not sure exactly what it is or who the target audience was) called The Oyster and the Cat: A moral fable; the only appearance of the "Fable" I know of was in the Eastern Jeweller and Watchmaker No. 3-1963 (but it seems reasonable the Fable appeared elsewhere). Rolex fans will recall the Cat advertisements were all sans watches. Note the artist was the British illustrator Rosalind Hoyte.
The Cats are not named in the Cat advertisements but for the curious here are the Cats' names.
