Lacking the time to go through all of the archives, and having been too lazy to create any sort of coherent filing system, I think I'll start with this one -- the first photo for which I ever received praise from my teacher, Ming Thein:
As with every photo there are a few things to nit-pick, but I really like the way that this watch looms out of the inky darkness, the way that the angle of presentation is consistent with the asymmetry of the piece itself, and of course the light -- directional and contrasty on the dials, but with even lighting of the strap against the black background. It may seem a bit silly, but the toughest part of this shot was getting light on the strap!
Technically and aesthetically, this next one may be "the one," however:
I'm fairly confident that the full set of these shots of a fellow Purist's PP 5550 (available for view on the Patek forum here) is the best series I've shot so far.
Fun topic! Of course, I'm still working hard to make sure that every time I shoot, the results are better than the time before...
