I wore mine to the NY AP Boutique over the weekend and even they were impressed by it! I am loving the versatility of it - looks great on white rubber, black survivor strap and leather hornback.
Looks amazing! I thought Forged Carbon was being discontinued? Does this mean that they are changing their mind or just taking advantage of some of their inventory? The matte marbled contrast really balances out the other brushed, polished and blasted surfaces.
Just picked one up myself and am loving it! The only thing that bothers me about this piece is that the hour hand is significantly longer than I am used to, and as such it is not as easy to distinguish which hand is which. Nitpicky for sure, but it seems very strange to me that they did this.
From the second I picked up this watch two and a half years ago, the forged carbon bezel was my biggest complaint when the edges immediately started rubbing off with just my fingers. Over time, the sharp edges of the bezel started looking more and more worn and rounded. Then the new novelties arrive
Some up close pics of a silver AP clock. They made some drastic improvements in the latest version, including the "3D" mega-tapisserie as opposed to a flat dial. Again, not sure if it's worth the $4,500 retail, but it is a pretty special clock. I saw this Vacheron clock as well which was pretty uniq
I asked the NY boutique about purchasing one a while back and they had a black one that they indicated that they'd be willing to sell. Pretty penny for one though. I ended up finding a silver one which looks awesome as well.
