I have two lists on my iPhone notes, and a spreadsheet, and images

The lists are for quick reference so I have a total value and number of watches (not up to date at the moment though).
I have the Seikos in one list and the rest of my watches in another.
In the spreadsheet I have an image of the watch, and the usual stuff about when bought, purchase price, etc.
However, since almost all my watches are bought used, I rarely have receipts and often not full papers.
To be honest, I don't keep a record of the serial numbers or exact models in the spreadsheet.
The trouble I have is keeping the watches, boxes, papers, straps, bracelets all straight - because it's more efficient to keep the straps out of the boxes so I can change when necessary, or add a link to a bracelet.
I've sold some watches and months later discovered I still have the extra strap or bracelet for it.
In addition, I have created in Aperture a folder for every category of watch, and I put all the pictures in there, including pictures of the box and papers.
So probably the image folders are more valuable than the spreadsheet to me, as a record of the collection.
