it my pocketbook?).

I think that you have chosen three wonderful pieces.

The AP is a great watch but for a number of reasons my tastes tend towards the Independent world.  I admire the AP but of the three it is the last on the list.

Between the H1 and the Smith, I would choose the Smith Series 2.  Both watches are built from the ground up and both have so many wonderful features but I believe that the Smith is just that much more to my taste.  The Smith dial (not the skeleton, in my opinion) has the most exquisite guilloche done by Roger's shop on George Daniel's machine.  The movement is so wonderfully finished in such a typically British fashion with fine frosting and every detail attended to.  every part of the watch is made in Roger's shop except for some of the more mundane parts.  I must admit prejudice having spent time with Roger and visited his shop a couple of years ago and I have not had the similar pleasure with Haldiman (though I have seen his H1 - the Purist version).  I am not sure of Haldiman's production but Roger is producing about 12 watches per year and that is his goal for the future so having a Smith is truly a unique and rare pleasure.  And, yes, I have hopes to have my Series 2 by the end of the year while the H1 on my list is still in the category of possibility.

Please let us know your final decision.

Mitch

So you're going BIG? Which one?

I have been dreaming about these 3 watches, each in different ways for different reason, for many years. Without blabbering on why I love each one so much... I will put it to you... which would you order? Why would you choose the one over the other? They ...

And I keep vacillating. This is really personal taste. I prefer a MR with simplicity. Perp split chrono added to MR on paper is the grail of complexity. But, having never seen anything like it in the metal, I do not know about the finishing. So for me, el...

Which is truly a Grande Complication, with this sophisticated Chrono ( Rattrapante ) and the perpetual calendar and the minute repeater. I think I would go for the AP, which is a Watch in three... A good summary of what Horology can offer. And it is not b...

But when i saw the Jules Audemars iteration with blue dial.....well thats my choice for several reasons: Pinnacle of complications, Jules Audemars fantastic case, overall design despite the complications, Its an AP... On this BIG watches I tend to prefer ...

As the open dial is a photo of my actual watch :). I'm biased but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a roger smith. As all who see my posts, I buy (fall in lust) and sell (fall out of lust) very very fast. Few watches hold my attention for any length of time...

I have always leaned toward the Roger Smith. But the other two slay me. I will decide in the next few months as funds become 'real' and not awaited!

and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I choose the R W Smith, I think that will be harder and harder to come by and the history is there. I did not know I would have chosen any watch over one of Beats Tourbillons but in this case I do. The ...

I suppose I would eliminate the AP at the outset - not that there's anything wrong with it (quite the contrary), but I just don't think it measures up to the other 2. The choice between the R. Smith and the Haldimann is near impossible to make. Both are j...

between the H1 and the RS

the decision is very difficult for me! But in the end the beautiful simplicity of the H1 is what I would go for. Great trio! Best Andreas

I think it is by far the most beautiful of the three speaking from a purely horological standpoint. That watch oozes individuality and the finish level is up there with only a couple other manufactures. That is my pick and also grail brand, so may be a li...
