How do you maintain your collection inventory?

Hi guys . A stage comes in collector's life whereby it's hard to remember everything about the purchase or details and location of box etc . Iam thinking of doing a software to maintain the inventory of the watch collection . Details such as purchase date...

The lists are for quick reference so I have a total value and number of watches (not up to date at the moment though). I have the Seikos in one list and the rest of my watches in another. In the spreadsheet I have an image of the watch, and the usual stuf...

In addition to that it could have a place for a few lines of your thoughts notes on each piece. For example: ding at six o'clock or needs new strap or small scratch on the saphire crystal etc. Otherwise perfect. Thank you for sharing . Best regards Edward...

Have an unlimited text field. It is just not apparent for this particular watch. The field starts at the C.79350 entry and extends across and down. A second picture (of case back, usually) goes next to the first. There\'s also a third date/value line for ...

I\'ve set up the report to print to PDF so I can carry the entire inventory on my iPad. Good when I\'m traveling and feeling like I\'ve left a loved one behind.

Everything in there pertaining to the watch - date of purchase, service records, serial numbers, including pictures of the watch, certificates, invoices, ,tags etc.

I store the info on a spreadsheet on Google. It contains the usual info - model number, purchase price, seller, and other info like last service date. The nice thing about Google is that I can share the document with a good friend and fellow collector, so...
