Some much charm and great history. The idea of driving to the track unbolt the speedster windshield race and then drive home. How cool is that and all for the low price back in circa1956 of $2,900. Too cool.

Here in Stuttgart we still have the odd snow shower and the salt on the streets prevents us from taking our cars out of storage! But then, the season is approaching: I have received my admission for this years Ennstal Classic today!

Very true that most 356 prices have climbed that they are rarely driven. The replica seems to be tye only way to enjoy it without fear. Love to see some pictures. Bill

I have little fear of damaging the Giulietta (I do have fear of damaging myself, with it's non existent safety). It is insured very cheaply. It owes me nothing. The stupid increase in "value" means it's unlikely to ever be written off...that is, any uneco...

But market forces are polluting the pleasure a little. The last 356 speedster sold in a state of junk pike ie needing a top to bottom restoration sold for 150k us. You will spend multiples of that for a professional restoration. Then unfortunately they be...
