So this new LeBron James Offshore has me thinking...

We have heard that the rubberclad Offshore will be "re-imagined" in the near future.  The silver dial rubberclad was my very first AP.  I have always been drawn to the series.

The pink gold rubberclad has been an iconic Offshore for many years.  The refreshed dial introduced a few years ago is really unique.

A week removed from the launch of the new Royal Oak Offshore Limited Edition LeBron James, I just can't stop thinking about the awesome case.  44m with the notch for strap attachment.  I certainly hope AP uses it again.  Why not for a new pink gold rubberclad?

I think a black rubber bezel on this case would be amazing, with a black rubber strap emerging from that notch.   A freshened dial, maybe with blob or stick markers instead of numerals?  Rubber inlays on ceramic pushers?  Lots of ideas to make a new rubberclad rock.

Time will tell, as they say smile

is one I would happily wear. Best feature of the Lebron is the case. Great basis for some new models. I like your design thoughts and echo them.

one more thing

Like the legacy the bead blasted area between the brushed lugs on the Lebron looks REALLY GOOD. Very subtle and very classy.

I totally agree on that Noah.

Very appropriate to dress down the gold a bit and better blend it with the alternate materials.

I prefer the usual lugs

This is a bit too similar to the HBBs, which I like, but I prefer them to be as different as possible to the ROOs.

AP of course has history with the notched case

I have never personally considered a comparison to Hublot in this instance. I think a very valid topic is that the omission of the plots to attach the strap does reduce a little of the DNA, but I still like that we have an option. Appreciate your thoughts...
