First, congratulations!

The Diver is one of very favorite APs released in the past several years, one of my two favorite Offshores ever, and it is a fine watch indeed.  I would venture to say, as I have said many times before, it is the most beautiful diving watch there is.

I have owned both the Diver and the Royal Oak Jumbo.  I feel the same way as MichaelC on this matter.  You could easily own both, and each will serve a different purpose in your collection. But the Jumbo would be my "only AP" if forced to choose only one.  I sacrificed my Diver for the sake of adding another watch to my collection under the assumption that I could replace the Diver someday. And I may very well do just that.

The original version of the Diver is the most versatile version and, as you have discovered, you can even dress it up for business.

I would advise living with this one for a while before adding a Jumbo.  Why not just enjoy this one for a while before risking superseding it with another watch?

Here is what your future AP collection might look like:

What a lovely photo you have shared of your AP Diver.  And what a beautiful watch!

Best,

The Diver and the 15202

I love the Diver. It's my first AP, and one which made me understand the meaning of fine craftsmanship. It's rugged, fully dive-certified, and probably the only other watch I have that can rival my Submariner on a trip to hell and back. At the same time, ...

Congratulations on the Diver, and welcome here sanzaw!

I think you have identified much of what makes the Diver a terrific Audemars Piguet reference. I am also a big fan of the AP Manufacture Caliber 3120 inside; it is robust, precise, has a long power reserve, and is easily set. As for the Royal Oak Extra Th...

Super clean shot of your Diver.

It is tough to give you an answer. I guess it all dépends on the degree of love you have for your watches. You can easily live with these two. And you can also add the Perpetual Calendar to these 2. After all ,they both have their own personality. Welcome...

First, congratulations!

Gents, and greatly appreciate the warm welcome. I have had the Diver for about 6 months now actually, and its comforting to know two AP's is just the bare minimum! ;) P.S. The photo was snapped during a nasty traffic jam on my way to the airport with the ...

Been considering the AP jumbo for quite sometime. Just can't justify yet the price for a basic function watch that's why I settled for the 15400. But ultimately once I have enough funds, will flip the 15400 for the 15202. This combo I think is one that ma...

Thanks

Regarding my view on the 5711, I draw the line at a certain price for uncomplicated watches, the proverbial "Camel's back breakpoint" if you will. The 5711 just happens to cross that line.
