Pink gold! I happened to ask him the very question when I visited his workshop in 2013. The reason? The decorated plates used on the movement in the platinum model are extremely laborious!
Truth be told, both are stunning, and different, on the wrist.

While I usually prefer PG/RG I agree that this watch look better in PT. JerryW

Although I agree that the mainplate decoration on teh PT is very nice, I think the RG is really spectacular! The play between white, red and silver really do it for me... Thanks for posting these beauties, they're really my all time favorites of AP's more...
