Beautiful shot Jed!

We can look at no quick date set function as flaw

but obviously this watch is meant to be worn and not taken off the wrist
so they thought that quick date function
will be obsolete smile
wink

Damjan

AP Royal Oak Jumbo. A pain to set the non-quick set date, but well worth the effort. Happy Wednesday! Best, CaliforniaJed...

Yes, that is the biggest flaw of the original and the re edition.

I agree that changing the date, with this angular crown, and the no quick date setting is a real pain... But what a charm! Nicolas

Mine is the titanium and ceramic version/ 1000 piece LE. I have been tardy in posting a detailed review on it; I will do that ASAP.

Indeed. It is THE one for me.

As I have mentioned before, it took me a while to figure that out, but it is total bliss every time I wear it.

Totally understand that. I have the same feeling with the JLC Amvox II.

it does have that rapid advance calendar system

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : February 18th, 2015-15:21
still a pain compared to a quickset system, but better than having to wind 24 hrs for 1 date change....

true on both accounts

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : February 19th, 2015-02:12
I've left it on a wrong date quite some times now. Maybe have to get winder for it because it sort of annoys me if the date is off. But at the moment I'm without the watch because it's still at AP being repaired :-(( I am thinking about getting it a perso...

Jed, how do you use the date set when this watch does not hack?

 By: 4Js : February 19th, 2015-17:18
Setting from 10pm to 2am back and forth will ruin a non hack balance. I do not understand this? Thanks for your insight Best Joe

I can't help with the explanation, but

 By: CaliforniaJed : February 20th, 2015-09:42
the 10-2 back and forth is actually described in the manual for the watch as an appropriate means of setting the date, as I recall. Perhaps someone more technically familiar with the 2121 movement than I will jump in. Best, CaliforniaJed
