Another Gerald Genta design enters the house

It took a very long wait but it is finally here! In Jan/Feb this year I asked my AD if he could arrange for a 15202ST so I could try it on. Of course, no problem he said. Might take a little bit of time because they did not have one at their store. I told him no problem, it's just for trying on, got enough watches so no hurry. Not thinking it would take 10/11 MONTHS to finally get one over. Talking about delays..... At some point I told him to make an order out of it to speed things up.
Nicolas asked if it didn't increase the pleasure. Well in the end I was happy it was finally there so the answer is yes. It also made a very nice Christmas Present plus it is a very nice watch to own so it was defenitly worth the wait.
Took it for a ride in another 70's mechanical object (1973 Lincoln Mark IV so quite close to the Royal Oak's birthdate). My daily car is more digital than ever (Tesla) so it is nice to drive cars that are not digital every now and then just as it is wearing mechanical watches. And that night I figured the last drink of Christmas Eve should be from the 70's too while I was at it.
All in all a nice day. I wish the PuristS a lovely holiday period and a great 2015! There is still time to acquire something so who knows I go out with a Bang. My bank account however is hoping this is it for 2014...
We will see.
Cheers
Arie

Beautiful piece, and well worth the wait. Something that I've secretly put in my wish list as well!
Congrats.

You only missed Abba on the Rado, or Boney M, and you were 100 % in! :) No, more seriously, bravo for all. Picking such a Watch deserves a minimum of efforts and attentions. You did it, and ont in a mini way! And huge congratulations. Now you have it, now...

because of the idiocy of it. They called it a land yacht. it's just that. Aim it into a corner or small street and hope for the best :-)
Amazing Arie!!
