Congratulations on the Diver, and welcome here sanzaw!

I think you have identified much of what makes the Diver a terrific Audemars Piguet reference.  I am also a big fan of the AP Manufacture Caliber 3120 inside; it is robust, precise, has a long power reserve, and is easily set.

As for the Royal Oak Extra Thin reference 15202, this one is a different ballgame.  My first thought is absolutely yes - you can easily own and enjoy both it and the Diver.  Different sizes, straps, dial colors, movements, etc.

Will the Diver get ignored?  I happen to be wearing my 15202 Extra Thin today, and as I have posted before, when I wear this watch, I long for nothing else.  And I am very fortunate to have a few other nice pieces to choose from.  Still, if I could only own one single AP for the rest of my days, it would be this one.  But if you choose to keep both, you will find opportunities to enjoy the Diver.  I have traveled with both Royal Oaks and Royal Oak Offshores.  If I were heading to a beach environment, what better option than the Diver?

So the 15202 has become my usual go to daily watch, but I still rotate in the Offshores on a regular basis.  I said I would choose the 15202 as my only AP, and this is true.  But I could never live without an Offshore...  so I guess I can never go below (2) APs smile

The Diver and the 15202

I love the Diver. It's my first AP, and one which made me understand the meaning of fine craftsmanship. It's rugged, fully dive-certified, and probably the only other watch I have that can rival my Submariner on a trip to hell and back. At the same time, ...

It is tough to give you an answer. I guess it all dépends on the degree of love you have for your watches. You can easily live with these two. And you can also add the Perpetual Calendar to these 2. After all ,they both have their own personality. Welcome...

First, congratulations!

The Diver is one of very favorite APs released in the past several years, one of my two favorite Offshores ever, and it is a fine watch indeed. I would venture to say, as I have said many times before, it is the most beautiful diving watch there is. I hav...

Thanks for your thoughtful responses...

Gents, and greatly appreciate the warm welcome. I have had the Diver for about 6 months now actually, and its comforting to know two AP's is just the bare minimum! ;) P.S. The photo was snapped during a nasty traffic jam on my way to the airport with the ...

Been considering the AP jumbo for quite sometime. Just can't justify yet the price for a basic function watch that's why I settled for the 15400. But ultimately once I have enough funds, will flip the 15400 for the 15202. This combo I think is one that ma...

Thanks

Regarding my view on the 5711, I draw the line at a certain price for uncomplicated watches, the proverbial "Camel's back breakpoint" if you will. The 5711 just happens to cross that line.
