Favorite Audemars Piguet novelty of SIHH 2014?

As we have had a few weeks to consider the new range of timepieces from AP, have you identified a favorite and possibly a new target for acquisition?

I think the refreshed 42mm Royal Oak Offshore line makes a lot of sense and fits in with the current direction at AP.

The Millenary Minute Repeater and Offshore Toubillon Chronograph are astounding timepieces.

The white ceramic 44mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph looks very "cool" in the photos and I can't wait to see it.

One piece I feel that has flown under the radar is the black ceramic 44mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph with its revised dial.  This watch was first introduced at SIHH 2013 with an all black dial, but now has anthracite colored rings on the timing subdials and a grey tach ring.  Looks very coherent to me, and pulls in the titanium accents on the watch better.  I definitely want to see this one in person.

Which new AP has caught your eye?

Love the small spots of orange! Marcus

Perhaps the most convincing of the new 42mm Offshores.

Now that AP has broke the rule and we can see regular steel models with this noble color.

For me there are two watches that kept me eyes, that will be the blue and the brown ROOs think they did a really nice job upgrading it. Also think the white ceramic watches are nice, although I will never consider on buying a white watch. (think I'm a lit...

The new "Safari" version is quite interesting

Now with the brown subdials; very different from its predecessor. AP announced the new collection would start hitting authorized points of sale in April. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else.

Nice solid line up from AP

I'm with you on the black ceramic 44mm, they got this one just right, can't wait to see it. The Plat Toubillon is a star and also liked the Gold open worked RO. Will reserve judgement on the white ceramic pieces until I see them, however the 44mm piece lo...

It is those blue subdials and tach that keep me looking at the 44mm white ceramic

the RG jumbo openwork! Other favorites are the new ceramic ROO 44mm black/grey dial and the new RG ROO in leather strap.

Had a feeling you would like it Wayne!

Me too ;-)

RG Skeleton for me

Hard to argue with the other picks but that one really does it for me. If were in a little more do-able price range for me it would be a definite pick up. The skeleton AP in Jumbo case with date and gold bracelet makes that, imho, the perfect balance. At ...

Definitely a winner. [nt]

White ceramic Rose gold ...

The white ceramic 44mm Offshore is getting much attention

 By: MichaelC : February 6th, 2014-13:21
Deservedly so. I'll have to admit, in the photos I am not entirely sure about the gold colored dial on the RG model, so I am real eager to see it in person.

The ultimate summer watch?
