If you would compare these two watches which one would you prefer?

Thanks...

Cheers

... because of all the similarities, they have the same father, so many things in common. Its a difficult question, so of course, most of us, would say that its a matter of taste, which one smiles to u, etc.... Let's try to analyse both objectively. AP bu...

Really?

Do you have to ask? Well, you will already know my answer, PinkPanther. One is iconic. The other is not. The Nautilus is a strong and lasting line for Patek, but it is has not achieved the same position in horological history. While there have been descen...

But you are......

biased my friend.....lol Seriously though the RO has also undergone alterations via its limited editions..... But, as said, I know your love for the RO.... Cheers

...well, you are right, my friend

I am very biased in this instance, as you well know. However, when I wrote of the RO remaining virtually unchanged over the past nearly 40 years, I tried to be fairly precise in referring only to the " Royal Oak, the Jumbo (and its immediate non-Jumbo pre...

You assumed right....

the comparison was for the base models.... But the changes on the PP where, as far as I know, minor.... As far as my thinking.....well stay tuned my friend..... Cheers

Pink Panther, I overwhelmingly prefer the RO over the Nautilus for three reasons, each of which is subjective opinion: (1) The RO has greater design integrity, with sharper transitions, more angular lines, and better definition. (2) The RO bracelet is a v...

Thank you....

for your responses.... Royal Oak seems to be the favourite but this is the AP forum.... I think that both watches are iconic but I do have a preference for the Nautilus..... Thank you for sharing your opinions... Cheers

Not exactly a this for that, but here's a shape comparison..

A 5712 complication vs a ROC COS. A couple of details to note are that the Patek has "shaped" glass, meaning that the crystal is actually not round, but cut to form the angular shape of the Nautilus porthole whereas on the ROC, the bezel is octagonal, but...

Hmmm

I guess depending on your age would the choice be made, I personally would take the ROO over the Nautilus. The ROO is the sports watch for the 30-40yr old exec. and the Nautilus is for the 50-60yr old adventourus exec. Especially with the ROO being as tre...

well....

As per both watches are in the very same level of quality, have the same father, I would like to add another brother: Vacheron Constantin Overseas IMHO I will choose as following: 1.- AP Royal Oak 2.- VC Overseas 3.- PP Nautilus All this is very subjectiv...

Slightly different approach...

I have a slightly different approach; I approach it on a case-by-case basis based on specific model. If you were to ask which model line has more prominence, I would not be able to answer that question. Both lines share many parallels; both are about 30 y...
