I have met you and understand this is an honest mistake if anything. I appreciate your contributions on the forum, and feel free to add the additional information you might receive about the piece in question.
I will tell you an honest story. 2 years ago, while at an AP event, I met a fellow collector who was actually wearing a fake AP watch. This individual owns numerous APs, yet the fake was so well executed he did not know. It took some convincing for him to believe it, and I felt bad to do it, but in the end he was happy to know of the problem.
You were probably not expecting a friend to show you a fake AP watch, and maybe it is a case where he does not even know himself. Obviously, this possibility absolutely does happen.
