SIHH 2014: the 6 wristshots of the new Audemars Piguet Chronograph Royal Oak Offshore 42mm

Feb 02, 2014,13:59 PM

6 new versions with slight changes... which really improve the watches! I was seduced by this new reference, the 26470.

But, which is your fav one?

Stainless Steel - Ivory dial:

Stainless Steel - Slate dial:

Stainless steel - Blue dial:

Stainless steel - Black dial:

Pink Gold with leather strap:

Pink Gold with pink gold bracelet:

My fav one is the stainless steel - blue dial. I love its casual touch. I also appreciate the slate dial version which is maybe the most refined of the line.

But I am biased, as it reminds me of my blue face orange hand chrono. Thank you for the wristshots. I love the new line up.

Thanks for your comments!

The dial of the RG versions has a... RG colour. I appreciate this watch... maybe it is my bright side! The RG colour of the dial highlight the black of the subdials. Thanks! Fx

Thank you..

I hope AP has got it right on this one. Love the gold bezel, case, leather strap but not sure about the dial could have been much more subtle. Will reserve my comments untill I see it in person. Thank you again for your reply and expert comments. Regards ...

Thanks foversta, I agree with you with the blue being my favorite too. Is the hands on the subdials a darker yellow color? In some pics it looks almost orange. Regards, ED-209

Orange Ed, orange.

We have the same choice! :) Fx

Ivory dial has a lot of charm...

but it was not choice at the end. I think I'm really in a blue period! Thanks Fernando! Fx

Tough choice.

Although I always choose RG I am on a different path today. The blue face has a special look, colors are great. I would change my mind if they put the same blue dial on the RG Offshore. JerryW

Thanks Jerry for your input. But...

I am intrigued by the new Safari model. I know I will be tempted by the slate dial.

The slate version is the most refined for sure.

Yes... you are right...

but I managed to make my choice! Blue is on top of my list! Fx

The bracelet model has a nice vintage feel to it.

I've also heard the bracelet is thinner than the YG ROO on bracelet. Thanks for sharing!

All of them!!!

I think AP did make a really nice job in all of the new ROOs. If I had to choose one of them, will be a really crazy hard decision between the blue and the brown one leaning more for the brown! haha Thanks for the nice wrist shots.

I like the RG ROO with leather strap and the SS ROO Slate dial...

In fact they all appeal to me. Can't wait to see them in metal :)

Slate dial looks best to me

Don't like the yellow dial on the RG, real shame.

Question

 By: Ed Watches : February 5th, 2014-14:01
Question to you guys who are way more knowledgeable than I am on AP practices for product launches. Do you believe new ROO 42mm models with metal bracelets (steel or TI) might still come out during the year or would any new ROO be launched only at next ye...
