15 March 2014 marks a memorable day for our small group of six AP enthusiasts who had a few "FIRST" on this wonderful Saturday. Coming from different backgrounds, professions and a wide age gap from 20s to 60s, our budding friendship grows from the initia...

Thanks for this great report with great photos to match. Shame you did not get to see the white ceramic diver as this watch, for some strange reason, is drawing me in. Need to see one for real. Also, don't think I saw. Lebron James, another piece that dra...

Thanks Dean! I would love to see those pieces too...

Especially the white ceramic 44mm novelty, I think it looks cool on pictures. I'm not really a fan of the white Diver, but perhaps I might be converted after seeing the real watch :) The LBJ is quite an impressive piece. I like the notched case the best. ...

Wonderful remarks Wayne.

I enjoyed your impressions of the new collections. BTW, I am also very happy AP kept the numerals dials. They are much the charm of these pieces.

Thanks Michael! I think AP did it again with these new ROO...

Strangely, and frankly, I wouldn't miss the old ROO too much after seeing the new ones. The enhanced designed elements have greatly modernise the 42mm Offshore line and makes the watches even more sportier as it should be. It'll be a killer if AP snaps on...

I'm quite certain AP was hoping to hear your exact sentiment -

That the outgoing references will not be missed. If we look at this new 42mm collection going forward, it is logical to suspect we will see new materials utilized here and there. Maybe it is just a ceramic or cermet bezel, maybe a carbon case - there will...

Looks like a great AP gtg!

Can't wait for the next meeting too!

This question might be a bit silly...

 By: Tony-GB : March 23rd, 2014-14:07
...but are the new ceramic pushers as tactile as the silicon covered ones? Or does the ceramic feel cold to the touch? Thanks in advance Tony

Those are interesting questions...

 By: orangedial : March 27th, 2014-08:47
To me at least :) The ceramic pushers provide similar tactile feel when depressed. They are finely crafted and modernise the ROO to a great deal. And no... They are not cold... But cool :D
