The 260 caliber is really fantastic... Can we know what is your opinion about the blue color of the 5270? It seems it is not like the 5070P. Do you find it good looking or are you more encline to like the lighter dials? Thanks for sharing the pics. Cheers...
Mark, the cal. 260 is indeed ...

very interesting and adorable ... Is it the most interesting "affordable" movement from PP, in the last years? To me it is a clear: Yes and not only the movement :-) Best, Oliver ...
I was going to add this as well

i.e. I really find it is, maybe not the best, but to me the movment I like most in the <T€.90 range. Maybe not as the chrono but still, I love it. I will for sure be looking very carefully at all the 260 engined models PP will launch in the next years ...
Thanks...

... actually a few days ago i got to check the 5074P, 5204P, 5216P, 5270G blue... As there is SIHH now, it got me even more convinced that Patek is on another galaxy. Congrats to the mysterious fellow purist

Oliver, thanks for the post. Do you know what is the latest on the 5235 please - will it be regular production in 2014, or discontinued after the first batch as has been suggested by some?
Sorry, no info about this.

But if you really want one, you should be quick - to be safe :-) Oliver
Indeed!

Thanks for sharing Oliver. Although I have been looking alot at the SIHH brands lately, PP is still PP and your photos remind me of their magic. Looking forward to PP at Basel! Cheers Robin

Robin, I trust we will have at least two fire works this year. Basel and 175th Anniversary, shortly after Thanks and next time we could try to meet in Geneva. Oliver ps: You have been mentioned to me, by a member of the top management from one of the SIHH...
Yes, hope to meet you someday too Oliver

I have always been a fan of your posts on various forums! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos with us here. I think I know whom in the Richemont brand you are referring to ;) He's an awesome gentleman and a great leader in the watch industry. It's...

Oliver,5004A?
By: Myopiccoog : January 31st, 2014-19:01
Oliver, given the 5004A is still at the boutique in Geneva, can one still get it. They usually remove the discontinued pieces from the Geneva boutique strait away.
unfortunatly...

... its not possible since a very long time. But i think its good that it can still be seen in geneva's salon... at least that.
Hats off to Patek

That group of watches in the tray could keep me happy for many, many years as a collector. Patek certainly has the knack for producing complicated, collectible, legible, and wearable watches, all in one, and these are excellent examples.
Oliver, you are exactly right
By: tahoeblue : January 29th, 2014-15:09
After spending some time at the Patek boutique, I was struck by how nicely even the most complicated watches fit on the wrist. This has always been a strength of Patek, but somewhat overlooked (at least by me) in recent years with the trend toward bigger ...
Thank you very much Oliver
