5160 :)
Nov 01, 2013,18:22 PM
I like the 5160 better because it carries a very classic and vintage feel.
It has a more complicated function and useful.
But, both watches are very rare and has a unique beautiful dial.
Thanks for sharing the photos with us watch-fan.
I like the 5160J and now the new 5160R the most because it suits the engraving the best.
Does your 5160 get lots of wearing time?
Thank you,
Bob

The engraving is...

... out of this world. There is as much maybe more handcraft on that piece than on the 5131. The more i look at it the more i'd go for that one.
Very hard to compare ~

because they are of different league. One is a PC and another a WT. I must say that the 5160J is very 'bourgeois' with its elaborated craftman ship all over the watch. It's a watch fit for a monarch but it wont go with jeans any day. I has a very unique a...

Which watch do you prefer 5160j or the 5130g
By: geross : November 1st, 2013-02:46
The 5130g is a work of art. Whats your preference art or swank and gliter. I guess this adds to your dillema choose what sings to your heart.
Hard to say

I like to wear 5131G when I travel. I wear 5160J more than 5131G because it is easy to read the time and I like the case. For the moment I like both. Hard to decide which watch I like more.
5131G

While both are brilliant watches, my choice would be the 5131. Although, that could change back and forth some more times in the future ;) I love the shape of the 5131, it's definitely recognisable, and why I like most PP watches. I like the details put i...

The 5160 is the superior watch, horologically speaking, and would look wonderful displayed under glass, however if its going to be actually worn on the wrist then the 5131 is the easy winner!
5160G and 5131J...

... would be choice top choice. But in your case, the 5131G. The other is a little too much, might not have enough opportunities to wear it.
I'd pick the 5131
By: TS1987 : November 1st, 2013-07:27
because if you've seen a few of them, you'd realise that no two world time dials are the same due to the firing process. Also, if I wanted a perpetual calendar Patek without the chronograph, the preceding 5159G is my mobile phone's wallpaper for a reason....

5131 for me

5160 is an elaborate show piece fit for royalty as part of regalia; not for me unfortunately. Great pieces; huge congrats; Thanks for sharing

The 5131 is IMHO just perfect. The 5160 has too much engraving for my personal taste. Don't get me wrong, both are great watches, but - given this choice - I would go for the 5131. Best regards Georg
5131, not even close
By: Bruno.M1 : November 1st, 2013-08:30
5160 is not bad ... but the 5131 is in another league now, I would be happy with white or yellow gold ... but am I the only one who thinks the yellow is better for the enamel worldtimer ?
5131..for sure

If I am planning to wear it.......which I think the idea behind buying a watch:)
Tough one

Both? Different watches for different occasions, but the wt would get more use. The pc is a little on the ornate side and can look like an egg on wrist given its size and shape
This is 100%

a trick question? You can't be serious? For those who are into vintage cars that is like asking if someone prefers a Ferrari 330 or a 275 GTB/4 ;)
+1

UK MD told me: The reason He decided to give me 5131G is because I am loyalty to one AD and because I wore 5160J to visit factory. He is happy to see I don't put 5160J in safety box. It seems nobody like 5160J. Should I put it into safety box now?

I have many watches. I wear 5160J when I want to. Just have to be careful not to damage the case.

I love the 5131G! On the other hand, the 5160J....I'd rather have the 5050J or 5095P instead.
5160J for me
By: cmclee : November 2nd, 2013-02:17
Personally i feel the worldtime is getting quite common these days. The 5160 has at least a useful complication.
5160G!
By: patrick_y : November 2nd, 2013-09:58
The 5160 G is my preferred 5160 model. The white gold looks more like the hand engraved Purdey hunting rifles that they're supposed to simulate. But between the 5160J and 5131G, I just have another opinion that is by default the 5131G mainly because I pre...
If it could only be one, my choice would be the 5160.

It captures a level of elegance which hasn't been seen in years by virtually any manufacturer. It allows the owner, not only to view but also to feel the fine art of the engraver in addition to its complicated movement. That is very appealing to me, more ...
