Girard Perregaux Rattrapante Chronograph " SF " in Yellow Gold.

 By: amanico : May 1st, 2016-00:47
I posted several times the platinum version of this very interesting chronograph which associates a foudroyante and a rattrapante. The platinum is a superb version, and certainly my favorite among all the variations, in titanium and white gold. BUT I neve...

The yellow gold also looks extremely gorgeous!

And a very similar dial to the new Montblanc... Hey, GP, why aren\'t you doing anything like these today? Please??? Best E.

That's the problem!

All those GPs that I find attractive were made a while ago... Best E.

I think the newest GP chronos hold up well in comparison. However, I agree with you that the chronographs GP made in their co-branding days with Ferrari, and for a handful of years after,

are magnificent-some of the best chronographs made by anyone. As evidenced by this Scuderia Ferrari and others posted here as well.

Well, the GP 1966 Chrono is quite nice, the one with the blue or silver dial ( WG ).

And I could find many other examples. Tourbillons with GB? Best, Nicolas

Yes...

 By: Esharp : May 1st, 2016-06:36
That chrono, shades of the 5070...lovely blue dial, yes...although the automatic, modular movement didn\'t excite me. The new ones just introduced are pretty but much larger than necessary - look at the size of the movement compared to the case! But then ...

Not quite...

 By: Esharp : May 1st, 2016-06:52
A simple, elegant dial. No dial openings - they\'re often not great when it\'s a tourbillon and they\'re just naff when it\'s a regular escapement. Maybe a sub-second at 6 o\'clock. No writing or plaque needed except the name of the manufacturer. A steel ...

Yes yes yes!

Although if I\'m honest GP has done such a good job hiding the winding rotor in the automatic 3GB movements that I wouldn\'t mind the same approach here. I think I\'m gonna have to do some image searches later to figure out what I think the case and dial ...

We can't be the only ones.

To arms, comrades! We will march upon La Chaux de Fonds and convince them to do our bidding!

I did NOT want to see you suffer.

 By: TheMadDruid : May 1st, 2016-04:21
But I confess I smiled when you did. Just a little. Well. Not just a little. Well. Actually It felt good to see how much joy you got from holding it. Yes. That's it. Joy in seeing you hold it!

Good one, my friend. Yes, this is an unexpected pleasure. A really unexpected one from ...

They made a platinum version with a white dial............

 By: TonyR : May 1st, 2016-05:34
That looks great as well. It looks very similar to the steel and WG models with the white dial. Tony

I got this off the net.........

 By: TonyR : May 1st, 2016-07:18
Its the only one i could find. Im not sure if it is ok to post but here is the picture. The white gold version is very similar. Looks like only the hands are different between the two metals. I almost bought the platinum version about 6 years ago but pass...

I am pretty sure I have seen one on Ebay in the past year.

My memory is that GP did limited numbers in every metal.

Should be 5 Material
