I like this GP. Very nice.

The dial is very beautiful.

A pity the case is on the large side, at 41mm.
And a pity the movement is so small: 25,6mm. Another movement lost in a big case.
But we can't blame a manufacture for making use its own good and thin base movement.
And given the relative slimness (10mm), it must have a very nice flat-wide feel.
Warm congratulations to GP for this!
Good to see this loved manufacture bringing such good things.

Friends, We all knew this day would come... Girard-Perregaux Laureato 81000 in the snow! Feels like yesterday I tormented you with summer time wrist shots... This is the first time for my Girard-Perregaux Laureato 81000 to see snow... And from the look of...

Time to snuggle it under a warm sleeve

We need it.... Badly! Best Blomman

I was not a big fan of this case shape at the first sight and, finally, the desire slowly grows into me

19 degrees Celsius has already made some people put on their fleece jacket yesterday. To me, however, it's perfectly nice.

19 C and fleece?!!!

That is normal summer here in Sweden! At that point many people run around in t-shirt and shorts! Best Blomman

Some of my friends were surprised

 By: Luis6 : November 2nd, 2016-16:44
when I told them that it's just like a normal summer day in Europe.

I like this GP. Very nice.

The thin feeling is there!

By: blomman Mr Blue : November 2nd, 2016-13:37
But not the wide... I agree that it would been OK to see this new Laureato in 39 or 40 mm, but even at 41 you don't get a too wide feeling. Best Blomman

Dear friend ! .. See below to cheer you up a bit !!

 By: hs111 : November 2nd, 2016-05:17
PS : All I can do right now is to send you some warming South Africa greetings from Cape Town with Table Mountain !! The downside is, I cannot join you guys at the 2 November GTGs.. Have fun !! Far away.. Not bad, indeed ! ...

You mean the new VC Overseas looks remarkably similar to this new Laureato! ;)

By: blomman Mr Blue : November 2nd, 2016-13:39
Here is an example of how the Laureato looked like in 1996: Best Blomman ...

Exactly what I mean.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : November 3rd, 2016-03:20
And here is the new VC: I will get a better pic tonight with the bracelet on. ...

We can do it sooner than you think, wink wink.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : November 3rd, 2016-05:30
Maybe somewhere in Austria?

Now we're talking. [nt]

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : November 3rd, 2016-07:20

Excellent! :) [nt]

By: blomman Mr Blue : November 3rd, 2016-12:07

Looking forward to this! :) [nt]

By: blomman Mr Blue : November 3rd, 2016-12:06

It actually looks at home ;-)

 By: rnaden : November 2nd, 2016-18:03
I like the watch, but trying one on recently, it doesn't work too well on smaller wrists. If it did, that would be quite a problem for me.

It didn't fit your wrist?

By: blomman Mr Blue : November 3rd, 2016-04:56
Too bad - would be an excellent next GP for you, my friend! Best Blomman

That was the intention - the white dialed one

 By: rnaden : November 3rd, 2016-05:26
But it was just too big. The whole case and shape just couldn't wrap comfortably. The 1957 wore slightly smaller, but was still too big, unfortunately, else, one of them would have followed me home.

Sorry to hear...

By: blomman Mr Blue : November 3rd, 2016-12:08
But take it easy... Soon you will find one that fit your wrist! Best Blomman

Not a fan of snow?

 By: KMII : November 2nd, 2016-21:24
The Laureato certainly looks like it takes it in its stride Let\'s see how we can help with the weather tomorrow

Wishing you a great GTG, dear KMII !.. Sorry, having to miss it !.. But vacation at the Cape..

 By: hs111 : November 3rd, 2016-00:49

There will definitely be a next time soon! :)
