Something new to share, albeit not new to me.
I’ve owned this watch since its release in 2021. In part due to the heads up our fellow member Mo (who design and artwork this is) gave the forum on the morning of its release almost three years ago now.
I had been a fan of the Octo Finissimo since its launch, and was going to buy one no question. It was just a matter of which one, and as the years passed from first release it was clear the blank canvas that is the titanium Octo Finissimo was been put to good use for various limited editions and collaborations.
Seeing that increased my resolve to wait, to wait for the one that really sang to me. The Ando edition was something I was able to access (a fellow forum member had offered me his allocation), but ultimately it just didn’t seem to be the right one for me.
And so it came, serendipitously via our beloved forum here and fellow member Mo. I was having a morning coffee at my local coffee shop and checking WPS. 5 minutes later I was talking to the folks in Chronopassion in Paris and the watch was bought and on the way to me. It took about three weeks, US Customs held onto to it for quite a while. That was a little annoying and stressful as god forbid they damage a watch which is 1 of 10 and so kinda irreplaceable. In the end it got her in once piece and was the watch I wore most over the summer of 2021.
I’m a fan of lightweight watches, and I wear my CTS quite a lot in large part because it’s an easy watch to wear. Super comfy to the wrist. This Octo is the same, it’s another weight weenie.
As an aside, there are 10 of these watches and I think we may have at least 4 here if not 5.
