Hi Michael,
I knew it was a different movement but as I’ve never owned a Royal Oak Chrono before, I didn’t know if the rotor noise was normal.
That’s why I wanted to ask the community here to see.
Thank you

AP Chrono rotor noise

Hi all, I recently become the proud owner of a 41mm RG Royal Oak Chrono with the new blue dial (2017) I’ve noticed that this has a distinct rotor noise whenever I move my wrist which I never used to have on my previous RG 2015 Offshore. Is this normal on ...

Are you aware that your new watch has a completely different movement than your old Offshore?

Why should / would it sound the same as an entirely different movement? Are there problems with it not working correctly?

The sound is definitely different on the Caliber 2385

I would tend to circle back to "if everything on the watch is working correctly, then the movement is OK". Enjoy the watch!

My RG ROC also has "rotor noise"

and is "louder" than my other AP's (though my old ROO Navy also has rotor noise). I agree with Michael. The most important thing is that it works fine. Different car, different engine, different rumble.

Thanks

Thank you for that. My old 2015 RG Offshore was completely silent with no rotor noise so this is very different. Anyway, I love the watch. I’ve ordered a new rubber strap from the Pride Of Italy LE.....should look great for the summer!
