While Patek might be the upgrade, I can never accept their small case designs....I love big watches and somehow big watches feel more manly to me. You should keep your AP IMO.

A friend offered to swap his pp 5712a with my 15400 rose gold, but I have to add money though due to his pp is brand new, from gold to steel, is it really worth it?

I wouldn't do that swap as yours is rg

If it was SS for SS then I would do it. Also if you're used to the size of the 15400 then the 5712 will feel small on your wrist. If your pal only just bought the Patek why does he want rid of it so soon?

In Short No Way!! The Royal Oak Design for me is way better...

I own a 5712G and a 15300 in ss and the 5712G would go before the 15300. If you want to add a Patek later, look for a model that complements what you have.

Well you are asking the question on the AP forum...

Personally I would trade since both are sports watches and I prefer sports watches in steel to reflect the "sport" aspect. But this is definitely a tough decision, and for me it would depend on how much the cash addition was as well.
