Now that you mention it is a little off balance
A smaller square date window with the AP badge aligned along side the date could be a good compromise.
Just a bit odd as is.
If I were in the market and wanted the watch, it would not be a deal breaker, but definitely a detail that AP missed on to my eyes.
I always thought it was too large too.
However, many who buy this piece want to prominently show off the brand. It's still an awesome piece nonetheless.

At the beginning I wasn't sure to like the watch.. but the when I saw it in the flesh it totally changed my opinion. The watch has unique stuff like material combinations, Arabic numbers in 44mm case, discrete diamonds on pushers and the color combination...
