I hope AP has got it right on this one, Colin.....

Hi Colin,
Apparently a lot of times audemars piguet dial colour looks completely different when you see the watch
In person. When I bought my 44mm RG I was very hesitant and uncomfortable with the subdials seeming to be
White in the pictures and was taking away from the whole watch arrangement and I thought it should have been
All black but when I saw the watch after buying it the subdials seem to have a nice silver shiny tint to them which
Actually contrasted with the watch perfectly.
I was listening to the CEO giving an interview to watch-insider where he mentioned that his favourite was
The safari of the new collection and where he personally was involved in getting the dial colour right and they had
To go through something like13 dial colours before perfecting it to deem fit for the new safari. So I presume they
Did serious homework on their benchmark variation.
Anyways will wait to hear from other guys from sihh what was their take was on the dial colour.
Have a great weekend
Regards
Urooj

Not seen the New RG ROO in the metal so will reserve judgement, however this seems a strange choice for the dial colour. Reminds me of Rolex Champagne dials on gold day dates, just never looked right to me. Give me a black or grey dial any day with AP's w...
