And who else have I forgotten here as inspiration for the Royal Oak Extra-thin?? Those of you with the older versions - Jerry, Nicolas, Wayne, Dan, etc. etc. - you have certainly inspired me over the years too! I have selfishly enjoyed this new Audemars P...

Thank you for sharing,

Your AP, Nautilus and the blue-dialed Yacht-Master are my three top sporting watches. In my books your watch is for sure #3 but for me it's the nicest or 2nd of all steel bracelet watches available. Even the movement is superior. A really great watch. Enj...

That is certainly a big Trio

I would be happy with any of those. Glad it is the AP for me ;-) Thanks Kari.

A modern watch can be superb. This RO is certainly one of them.

One of the strong horological moment from the SIHH. Can't wait to read your review, my dear friend. Nicolas

It takes a little bit for a new AP to really move me

This Extra thin Royal Oak is really exemplary.

It's absolutely beautiful, congratz!

and even better it looks nice on your wrist :-) Congrats! Oliver

It really fits so well.

 By: MichaelC : November 11th, 2013-06:10
With a fairly flat wrist, I have found no difficulty in wearing large watches up to maybe 47mm. Aah, but the joy of putting on a real perfectly sized watch!

congrats...

the blue is just sublime...enjoy!

Beautiful watch!! Congrats MichaelC!

That is a beauty too

 By: MichaelC : November 11th, 2013-06:11
Thanks for the photo.

The 15202 is one of the most exciting watches in recent years IMHO

 By: Watchlover78 : November 8th, 2013-12:35
And thank you for mentioning me . Best regards, Baxter

Of course I agree

 By: MichaelC : November 11th, 2013-06:12
And have enjoyed your photos and insight along the way.

Beautiful watch, Michael . . .

 By: M4 : November 8th, 2013-13:51
IMHO, the watch captures the essence of AP: "understated elegance with a sporting flair." Dan

Extremely well said Dan.

I used to think (and say) that if you could have only one AP for every occasion, the Royal Oak Chronograph is the way to go. I don't think that anymore; I think it is the steel 15202.

Congratulations! It's gorgeous, of course.

 By: CaliforniaJed : November 8th, 2013-15:35
Glad you are enjoying it. Best, CaliforniaJed

Appreciate it Jed.

My ship was already taking on heavy water before you came along with your awesome photos of this one, but they helped with the sinking for sure!

You are pardoned for enjoying it selfishly...

Because we do that all the time! :) I saw this jumbo again last night on a friend's wrist during a dinner hosted by AP (I'll write a story about it). It is really stunning, especially the dial, and that AP logo at 6 o'clock which is so strategically place...

Looking forward to the story and post

 By: MichaelC : November 11th, 2013-06:20
I had seen this revised 15202 a few times in the past, but never got it on my wrist. I imagine if I had I would have been more proactive to grab it. Now, to find a Salmon. In the past, I would sometimes own a same or extremely similar model with just a di...

Congrats on your AP

This is a watch you'll never tire of - in other words , a keeper. :) Best Fernando

You're right about that.

 By: MichaelC : November 11th, 2013-06:23
Already this watch makes me feel a bit differently about some others; you can really streamline with this one in the collection. Appreciate the kind words Fernando!

Simply Beautiful !

Super Nice! Michael, do you know by any chance how many AP will be producing per year and for how many years this specific Blue dial with the AP logo at 6? (I understand it is the 40th anni one so...)

I'll try to find some additional information about this

 By: MichaelC : November 11th, 2013-06:25
My understanding is it is a "limited production" piece, and not too many are made. At this point, it sure seems as though demand exceeds supply.

Stunning AP, MichaelC

 By: JerryW : November 9th, 2013-22:47
They really knocked the Jumbo out of the park by putting the AP back where it belongs. You have the perfect AP. I look forward to seeing this one in person at a GTG. Enjoy and wear in the best of health. JerryW

You have preached about the Jumbo for years.

 By: MichaelC : November 11th, 2013-06:27
And I finally get it. I imagine the pink gold model with this revised dial might find its way to you one day?? ;-) Cheers Jerry.

just one regret...

 By: moc : November 10th, 2013-11:08

Indeed, AP Jumbo - very universal watch, with suit and with casual. It is one of my favorite watch. AP cufflinks make even more magic. ...

Thank you! Those cufflinks sure look good...

Such an amazing offering from Audemars Piguet. I think it's an absolute favorite for every AP collector. It stays true to the original but with the perfect modern touches. Enjoy it!

You sum it up perfectly

The impact of this watch on the wrist has really surprised me. While very different than the much sportier Offshores I am used to, I in no way miss them with the Jumbo strapped on.

This shot is for you Michael C....

 By: Horology75 : November 21st, 2013-10:23
Enjoy! ...

That looks great Ovi! This is all I can offer...
